Odin - linear tracking airbearing tonearm

Bergmann Audio introduce the separate tonearm model Odin – our most universal linear tracking airbearing tonearm. Odin fits most highend turntables on the market – incl. the Bergmann Galder 4-arm turntable.

In the design/construction of Odin, we keep to our idea of simplicity: As few parts/ assemblings as possible to avoid resonances.
A parameter in the ultimate tonearm design is stiffness and stability in the construction- both are carefully incorporated in the Odin arm. An example is the airpipe, which is fixed in both ends to give the floating part the best possible base.
The armtube is traditional for Bergmann tonearms – well considered construction in few parts, made as a double tube construction, with damping in between the tubes. This means that the armtube control the vibrations from cartridge and record grooves when handling the musical crescendos.
The tonearm wire is – as usual in Bergmann tonearms – in one lenght from cartridge clips to the DIN connector. The DIN connector ensures user flexibility for connection of the preferred inter connect phono cable.
Counterweight is decoupled from the arm – again to avoid any resonances. The Odin arm provides you with all adjustment possibilities required:
VTA, overhang, azimuth, airpipe leveling, and air flow adjustment. All adjustments are easily accessible and easy to handle.

The Odin arm disappears in the music – a result of our consistent ‘few part construction’ philosophy.

No condense, no dust and a smooth air flow gives the best working conditions to the tonearm.

The air supply for an airbearing tonearm has to be dry, clean and with smooth air flow to give the best working conditions for the tonearm. Therefore, the Bergmann air supplies are designed with dust filters, two air reservoirs with damping material to absorb pulsations from the pump.

Magne ST - linear tracking airbearing tonearm

The new Magne ST tonearm is a redesign of the classic Magne tonearm which is mounted as standard on the Magne turntable system. The Magne ST is a separate tonearm to be mounted on almost any turntable brands on the market. As well as the latest bergmann 4-arm turntable; model Galder.

In the design and construction of Magne ST, we keep to our idea of simplicity:
As few parts and assemblings as possible to avoid resonances. The armtube is traditional for Bergmann tone arms: Well considered construction in few parts, made as a double tube construction with damping in between the tubes. All parts are assembled by 2-component epoxy – simple and vibration free design to secure as pure and coherent reproduction as possible.
The tonearm wire is, as usual in Bergmann tonearms, in one length from cartridge clips to the DIN connector. The DIN connector ensures user flexibility
for connection of the preferred interconnect phono cable.
These minimalistic design features make an optimum signal transmission from the stylus tip to the phono stage, and lead to an unmatched transparent and spacious sound stage with the right timbre and musical information.
The mounting distance from the spindle is like a traditional 9” radial tonearm, tightened by an 8mm metrical screw.

In addition, the set-up of the linear tracking tonearm is entirely uncomplicated

The air supply is also important for the performance of the tonearms. The air pump must deliver an
even, clean, and dry air flow.
The impulses from the pump are absorbed in an encapsulated reservoir. This results in an even airflow to the air bearing. The air supply is mounted with a filter, which prevents dust particles from entering
the system. This filter is replaceable when necessary.
The pump is an oil free, long life unit, which requires minimum maintenance.
